The idea was to develop a logo that visualises - in an abstract and aesthetic way - the idea of communication, collaboration and networking. Also the colour scheme should correspond with the idea of inter-personal collaboration and thus transport associations to social, together, people etc.

Moreover, the idea was to try something that is different in its appearance from the typical visual elements used in the IT domain.

Starting from these initial assumptions the new logo has a dynamic appearance that plays around with the ever changing facets of e-collaboration: the multi-constellation, multi-context, multi-people, multi-ICT aspects of collaboration. Also, the logo uses colours which on the one hand transports warmth, familiarity, togetherness and on the other hand breaks with the typical blue, silver, grey of the technology domain.

The logo consists of visual elements which symbolise varying constellations of collaborative groups and their dynamic and changing nature. The elements feature transparent colours; overlay and criss-cross each other in order to visualise the complex and at times overlapping nature of collaborative arrangements.
